يتشرف حافظ جاليري بإقامة معرض شخصي للفنان السعودي عوضة الزهراني بعنوان ”شقائق بغداد“.

​

"يتخزل الفن حدود الجغرافيا والزمن, ويزاوج بين حقائق البحث وكمال الصورة ..لشقائق بغداد بعدها الزمنى ليس كأسطورة بل كاحتفال بثورة قادمة لازالت خافتت المعالم, لكنها رجع من حكايا الارض التى عاشت القصة انارة العالم قبل ان تحرق الغزاه , وها هي بغداد تمارس اعادة كتابة التاريخ وإن كان بأنصاب بشرية في قصة صراع البقاء والهاوية, كما اعتادت منذ القدم..

 

استلهمت مصدر هذا المعرض من ذي قار التي خلدها شقائق النعمان بن المنذر, ملهمة شقائق بغداد الجريحة بجمال وسحر الشرق وسخاء عروبته وهويته التي لم يجتثها حتى التتار."

Hafez Gallery is honored to host the solo exhibition by Saudi artist Awdh AlZahrani titled ”Sisters of Baghdad."

​

"Art supersedes limits of time and space, marries facts and picture perfect moments, moments of Baghdad anemones that stretch beyond time like a myth, or rather, like a revolution that still has to grow. It has however retreated to the deep earth, reliving the story of how day broke over the world, burning away its mysteries. It’s where Baghdad can be seen, rewriting history with monumental human figures, fighting for survival, identity, as it has been since ancient times. 

 

This exhibition’s muses were the anemones inspiring the bleeding Baghdad Anemones with beauty and oriental magic, generous in their Arab identity, which even Genghis Khan’s tribes could not invade."
