يتشرف حافظ جاليري بإقامة معرض شخصي للفنانة الايطالية ميمونة جيريسي بعنوان ”رحلة السباروهوك و قصص أخرى“.

​

"أمّا بالنسبة لمؤلّفات الفنانة من أشكالها الجليلة والتمثالانية، فليس من الصعب إدراك أنّ أحجامها العظيمة تأتي من بحثها عن مكانها في التاريخ. إنّها أشكال تُعبّر عن الحياة اليومية، محاطة بالغفلية ولكن في الوقت عينه، مستوحاة من الشخصيات التي تلتقي بها ميمونة خلال زياراتها للصوفيين المسلمين لدى سفرها إلى بلدان غرب إفريقيا وإقامتها في السنغال. ففي السنغال وسنة ١٩٩١، اعتنقت ميمونة الدين الإسلامي: ومنذ ذلك الحين، أصبح الانسجام والاتحاد بين حياتها الفنّية وحياتها الشخصية جليًا أكثر فأكثر."

Hafez Gallery is honored to host the solo exhibition by Italian artist Maïmouna Guerresi titled ”The Journey of the Sparrow Hawk & Other Stories."

​

"As for the characters that belong to the artist’s repertoire, from their stately and statuesque presence, it is not difficult to recognize that through their monumental form they seek their place in history. They are the figures of day to day life, wrapped mostly in anonymity, but also partly inspired by the characters that Muslim mystics  Maimouna meets during frequent stays in Senegal and elsewhere in West Africa. In fact in Senegal in 1991 she embraced the Muslim religion: since that time the consistency and harmony of her personal and artistic lives have become increasingly apparent."
